Kickstarter recently released a wide-range of year-end statistics. To be sure, 2014 was a huge year for Kickstarter. Over 22 thousand projects were successfully funded. More than three million backers donated 530 million dollars to Kickstarter projects. Still, the success of Neil Young’s Pono Music Player stood out. The hour with the most money pledged took place between 11AM and 12PM on March 12^th, the same day the Pono Music Player launched. Almost 400 thousand dollars was donated during this hour. Cammy Harbsion put together a list of 2014s most successful Kickstarter campaigns for IDigitalTimes. Neil Young’s Pono player topped the list.
