New.com.au highlights the importance of Elliot Higgins and Bellingcat

News.com.au highlighted the incredible work of Elliot Higgins in a recent article. Widely considered one of the word’s most prominent citizen journalists, Higgins utilized his open source methods to track the Buk Russian missile launcher, which shot down the MH17 plane over Ukraine. His incredible contributions would not have been possible if it wasn’t for Higgins’ extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, which was managed by Vann Alexandra and raised over 98,000 dollars. Billboard covers TLC’s Kickstarter success

Colin Stutz discussed the success of the TLC Kickstarter campaign in a recent article for Billboard. The legendary girl group surpassed their goal of $150,000 in just three days with the help of stars like Katy Perry and thousands of other fans. The Washington Post explains why crowdfunding makes sense for TLC

In a recent article for the Washington Post, Bethonie Butler explains why Kickstarter makes sense for TLC.   TLC has always stressed the importance of connecting with their fans, and even included fan names in a CD booklet for their classic album, “Fan Mail.” They have also been extremely open and honest with the public throughout their history.  With this in mind, Butler points out, it should come as no surprise that the campaign has been positively received by both the media and fans.
