KCRW analyzes the success of the Standards Manual Kickstarter campaign

Frances Anderton featured the Standards Manual and the success of the Kickstarter campaign in an article on KCRW. Anderton remarks that crowdsourcing is an increasingly congested field. Despite this, the Standards Manual was able to raise more than $800,000 of an $100,000 goal, in part because creative services agency Vann Alexandra generated awareness for the project. The Vann Alexandra team created a Twitter account for the Standards Manual and tweeted a page from the book every single day. By the time the campaign launched, there was already a line of reporters ready and eager to publicize it. The full article can be found on KCRW.
