NPR reviews crowdfunded Naz & Maalik film

David Edelstein reviewed the crowdfunded film “Naz & Maalik” for NPR. Directed by Jay Dockendorf, the film follows two gay, Muslim, African-American teenagers on a single day in Brooklyn, NY. Edelstein praises the film for representing a piece of American life that has never been brought to the screen before. Vann Alexandra managed the Kickstarter campaign for Naz & Maalik in December of 2013, raising a total of $37,000. The full review can be read at NPR.
