Slate discusses the NYC Subway Poster Kickstarter campaign
Kristin Hohenadel discussed the NYC Subway Poster in an article for Slate. Pentagram designer Hamish Smyth digitally drew all 468 subway signs and arranged them in alphabetical order after working on a NYC pedestrian wayfinding system in 2012. Smyth collaborated with girlfriend, creative partner, and Vann Alexandra founder Alex Daly on the Kickstarter poster project knowing that there is a passionate community of design fanatics who are interested in preserving design history. With 22 days to go, the poster has already raised more than $95,000 on Kickstarter. The full article can be read at Slate.
