Creative Review covers the Standards Manual’s conception and Kickstarter campaign

Mark Sinclair described the story behind the NYCTA Standards Manual reissue in Creative Review. After discovering the famed manual in the basement of Pentagrams’s New York office, Hamish Smyth and Jesse Reed displayed each page on thestandardsmanual.com. The viral response inspired the designers to offer the Standards Manual in its most effective form, printed with high resolution scans. The resulting Kickstarter page, which was managed by Vann Alexandra, rifled past their original goal of $108,000 at an astonishing rate. Read the full article on Creative Review.
